Qualifying conditions
Georgia’s registry covers a specific list of conditions, and SB 220 (2026) expanded who can qualify. A Georgia-licensed physician makes the call.

- AIDS (severe or end-stage)
- Alzheimer’s disease (severe or end-stage)
- ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis)
- Autism spectrum disorder
- Cancer (end-stage or with treatment-related complications)
- Crohn’s disease
- Epidermolysis bullosa
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Intractable pain
- Lupus
- Mitochondrial disease
- Multiple sclerosis (severe or end-stage)
- Parkinson’s disease (severe or end-stage)
- Hospice care
- Peripheral neuropathy (severe or end-stage)
- PTSD (patients 18+)
- Seizure disorders
- Sickle cell disease (severe or end-stage)
- Tourette’s syndrome (severe)
Expanded under SB 220
Effective July 1, 2026, SB 220 added conditions such as lupus and inflammatory bowel disease, broadened intractable pain, and relaxed the “severe or end-stage” requirement for several conditions — widening access for many patients. Always confirm the official current list with DPH.
